Welcome to the Lake Wales Little Theatre
Season 46
Our Productions
Lake Wales Little Theatre is known for offering a variety of plays. We select recent hits, old favorites, and playwright submissions, frequently offering plays that have never been produced.
Our season begins in September and runs through June, and consists of five productions.
Children’s Theatre – We offer a Children’s Play and Tots Pre-Show Performance featuring many talented youngsters. Productions are held in September.
Adult Theatre – We feature three plays featuring our talented adult actors. Productions are held in November, January, and March.
Teen Theatre – We offer a Teen Play almost entirely produced by our teens, from the lights and sounds to the sets and performances.
Are We There Yet?

Explore transportation through time and ask the age-old question "Are we there yet?" From walking to the discovery of the wheel, mankind has conquered the sea, sky, space, and even cyberspace! With catchy original songs, this musical revue is a fun journey through the ages of travel.

On Golden Pond

Ethel and Norman Thayer return to their summer home on Golden Pond for the forty-eighth year. They are visited by their divorced daughter and her fiancé, who leaves his teenage son behind for the summer. The boy becomes the grandchild they've longed for, and Norman learns some lessons about modern teenage awareness and slang. As summer wanes, Norman and Ethel are brought closer together by a mild heart attack. Another summer on Golden Pond may still await.

Bed, Breakfast and Broadway

Marge Cunningham, the playwright of "You Only Die Twice," runs the Enchanting Dreams Bed-and-Breakfast, which doubles as the community theatre. When she receives word that a top Broadway producer is coming to town to hopefully "discover" some fresh acting talent, she notifies the cast, and they go into high gear to perfect the show before opening night. In the meantime, a vacationing couple appears about a possible vacancy at the bed and breakfast. The mayhem begins!

Every Little Crook and Nanny

Lillie Scones is a sweet retired nanny who runs a boarding house with one resident and "a cat the size of the Louisiana Purchase". Stuart, Lillie’s old flame, comes into town and finds out that Betty from the Bank is about to graduate from an academy on the very night he and his accomplice plan to rob the bank, the perfect alibi presents itself - why not go to the graduation, be seen there, sneak out and rob the bank. Unfortunately for the two would-be crooks, the graduation is at a police academy!

Just Another High School Play
June 7 – 16, 2024 TEEN PRODUCTION

A class of students, who have apparently been abandoned by their drama teacher, have to fend for themselves on opening night in front of a live audience. The student assistant director and the stage manager step in, find a box of scripts which they pass out to the cast, and try to throw something together. What follows is a rollicking show full of physical comedy, gags, and satirical re-writings of many plays from Shakespeare to Albee.
